Review By Kyle Anderson
Over the course of the last decade (and especially in the past four years or so), the Ultimate Fighting Championship has gone from an underground phenomenon to a truly mainstream sport that is covered by ESPN and takes up quite a bit of bandwidth on the Internet. Though they had experimented with games in the past, "UFC Undisputed 2009" represented their true entry into the interactive world. While it was a success, it left a lot of hardcores wanting more of mixed martial arts' subtleties. Hence the hardcore-heavy "UFC Undisputed 2010," perhaps the most realistic fighting game every created.

Ubisoft wants an online pass system similar the one EA Sports put together for "Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11," but right now they're only talking about implementing it sometime down the road. THQ like the idea of charging secondhand game buyers to play online so much that they've decided to launch their own $5 pass system next week with "UFC Undisputed 2010."

"UFC 2009 Undisputed" entered the ring as a franchise debut last year from THQ, but it entered the sports gaming market with impressive sales numbers, which undoubtedly secured its follow-up, set to premiere at the Spike Video Game Awards this weekend. "UFC Undisputed 2010" will definitely rearrange a couple of words in its title for next year, but the new trailer promises to open up a peek at the game as well.

Over the weekend fans of MMA saw an intense battle between Dan Henderson and Michael Bisping which left Bisping out cold on the mat in the second round.
It wasn't the only blood shed this weekend, though, as it seems UFC and EA Sports aren't going to be best friends anytime soon. Dana White, the head of UFC, stated that he's "at war" with EA and that anyone siding with the game publisher may find themselves in a bad way with UFC.
Speaking with MMAJunkie.com, White was very clear about his thoughts towards EA:

Is this the dawn of a new fight age? EA seems to think so, as they've already announced the development of their own MMA franchise, (titled "MMA," natch), which is coming next year.
