
Car punching won't be the only familiar sight returning to the Street Fighter series in "Super Street Fighter 4." The list of mystery fighters showing up for the game became a little less mysterious this week as Adon, Cody and Guy have all now been confirmed. All three characters showed up in 1998's "Super Street Fighter Alpha 3," and the latter two names should be instantly recognizable to players of Capcom's vintage arcade and console classic "Final Fight."

Anyone sentimental for the old "World Warrior" days of between-match mini-games demolishing cars may want to give "Super Street Fighter 4" a second glance. Some scans covered in Japanese from Famitsu appear to reveal the past time's return to Capcom's franchise with next year's release.

At the top, an icon and title which represents your online persona in "Street Fighter 4." At the bottom, the callsign which represents your online persona in "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2." If you think they're pretty similar then you're probably not blind. Granted "Modern Warfare 2" does offer up a healthy number of other ways to customize your character, but in terms of what your foes see when they fight you, the callsign is your primary representation.

Looking to get an early jump on your T. Hawk skills? Capcom is reviving their secret Fight Clubs in honor of "Super Street Fighter 4." As usual the address is super secret, but you can email Capcom and try to score an invite. "Super Street Fighter 4" will probably be the star of the show (with T. Hawk, Dee Jay and Juri as playable characters), but don't forget "Tatsonoko vs. Capcom," which will also have new playable characters like Zero and Joe the Condor.

Now that "Super Street Fighter 4" is officially an independent release, GameStop appears to have clarified the game's price and shipping date, which represents an ultra-quick follow-up on the calendar compared to this year's implicitly less super "Street Fighter 4." The disc comes tagged with a $39.99 price point for the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3, matching the current MSRP for its predecessor, and the retailer's site claims it will ship on March 23, 2010.

Taking a cue from the earlier days of "Street Fighter," Capcom will be updating "Street Fighter IV" in spring 2010, much sooner than anyone expected. The update, dubbed "Super Street Fighter IV" (natch) will include 8 new characters, new online features and a less-than-full price tag.

Over a matter of hours, the Internet seems to have all but confirmed that "Super Street Street Fighter IV" will be an upcoming Capcom release with at least two new fighters -- T. Hawk and a previously unseen female fighter named Juri. A teaser site on Capcom's Japanese portal, a German magazine photo and eventually new screw shots have all but sent out a press release about the game, but it may take an official announcement to clear the air over whether or not this will be a new release or long-awaited DLC for "SFIV."
