Since Sony launched the PSPgo last year, the system has hit a few bumps trying to gain traction in the market. Sony has blamed piracy for PSP platform stagnation broadly, but it looks like they've decided to leverage legal free games to try to attract more go buyers.
"Gran Turismo," "LittleBigPlanet," "MotorStorm Arctic Edge," "Wipeout Pure" and "Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice," are all being offered to newly registered PSPgo's, according to a Sony representative speaking to GamesIndustry.biz. The offerings also include "FIFA 2010 World Cup," "Need for Speed Shift," "Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars," "Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines" and one third-party title.

Just one week after the PSP go's launch, retailers are already slashing prices on Sony's new portable venture over the UK. The UMD drive-less, download-only system premiered with a slightly higher price tag at £225 (roughly $355), compared to the MRSP of $250 in the U.S. Numerous online retailers in the U.K., including Amazon and Gamestation, are already ratcheting that price point down to £200, however.

Sony's miniaturized version of their handheld console, the PSP go, is hitting stores today. It's a divisive product, with folks on either side deeming it a waste of money or a beautiful piece of hardware. I've spent a good chunk of time with the device, and hopefully I'll be able to point you in one direction or another, depending on your needs. And we're off!
