
Sega may not be interested in publishing any new M-rated titles for the Wii, but that hasn't swayed the minds at Platinum Games who developed last year's gore-fest "MadWorld." At least one voice in their office definitely wants to push through with a follow-up.

Sega tried to go against the grain and tap the Mature-rated games market on Nintendo's Wii, but "MadWorld" and "House of the Dead: Overkill" probably won't see Wii-based sequels following unimpressive sales numbers from EA's "Dead Space Extraction."

Last week I gave my top 5 favorite games of 2009. I'm well aware that 5 was not nearly enough to include every enjoyable game that released in the last 12 months, so I've handed it off to the contributors of MTV Multiplayer to share some of their picks. Russ nailed something fundamental about modern game design back in June. He enjoyed playing “Red Faction: Guerilla," but only by playing it on the easiest difficulty setting. I had the same experience this summer. I had a blast playing through “Ghostbusters: The Video Game” on “Casual”, because busting ghosts was the point of the game, not the challenge. Do I really need to die a hundred times to feel like I’m getting the most of bustin’ when it’s the bustin’ that makes me feel good?
But switching to easy isn't always something that's encouraged by a game. In fact, there have been a few games that have blatantly chastised you for taking the simple path. Here's a few that spring to mind:
