UPDATE: Demian Linn dropped us a note to clarify that he and Bitmob.com co-founder Dan Hsu will not be overseeing all of EGM's news editorial -- just news production for EGM's digital properties -- and both they and the site's writers working with EGM will remain with Bitmob.com while they produce content for the relaunched publication.
Original Story: Back in August, former video games newsstand face Electronic Gaming Monthly announced that December 1 would mark it's return to print, but with December nearly halfway over and 2010 almost here, the revelation that their relaunch has been move up to March 2010 shouldn't come as much of a shocker.
Less than a year after Electronic Gaming Monthly suspended its two-decade-old print magazine, original founder Steve Harris has announced that December 1 will mark EGM's return. Harris announced that he owned the print and publishing rights for the high profile industry magazine after the Hearst Corporation bought control of its online arm 1UP. He predicted a forthcoming relaunch for EGM, but today that second coming has an official date.
"Plans put in motion today for EGM to return on December 1...," Harris wrote from his Twitter account.
