There's no denying that the original "Left 4 Dead" hit the nail on the head with its fantastic blend of action, suspense, and co-operative play. And here we are just one short year later with a follow-up that Valve promises delivers much, much more: more locations, more weapons, more infected, and more variety is the name of the game in "Left 4 Dead 2." So does the core gameplay still shine with all the extra trimmings there hiding it from view?

We recently sat down with Tomo Miličević and Jared Leto of 30 Seconds to Mars to talk about their collaboration with EA and BioWare for "Dragon Age: Origins." Specifically their song, "This Is War," made its debut within the game. Check out the clip up top.

"Left 4 Dead 2" drops today and you may be one of many out there that's itching to grab a copy and jump online. Before I get to posting my review, I need to spend a bit more time with the game post-release to really see how the game handles with the countless servers running the whole zombie apocalypse show.

I only say this because this past weekend on Xbox Live I ran into an enemy more deadly and more terrifying than "Left 4 Dead 2's" own Witch or Tank infected. If you can't tell from the headline above, I'm talking about lag.

Rumors are circulating today that EA will be closing Pandemic Studios, the development house known for their work on the "Mercenaries" franchise, "Star Wars: Battlefront" and their upcoming game, "The Saboteur."

After officially announcing "Command & Conquer 4: Tiberium Twilight" last July, EA has moved another step forward and put a release date on the game, which is now open for pre-orders. Those pre-orders in turn come incentivized with access to a closed "5 vs. 5" beta test of the game's multiplayer mode.

GameStop and Best Buy customers reserving "Battlefield: Bad Company 2" will get a little something extra come November 19th. EA has confirmed that a North American multiplayer beta test will be open to pre-ordering PS3 owners though the retailers' online and brick-and-mortar locations.

EA is continuing its long and difficult campaign of convincing people that "Dragon Age: Origins" is not quite as nerdy as it appears. Today's featured attempt? Bringing 30 Seconds To Mars into the mix. The band contributed one of their new singles, "This Is War," for use in the game. The song is the title track from their upcoming album which drops on December 8th.

EA CEO John Riccitiello said that an "American McGee's Alice" sequel was under construction for PC and consoles, and it now appears that "Return of Alice" has made it far enough to warrant a trailer and release year clarification. Following its 2000 cult-hit predecessor, the new Chinese-developed action title appears to continue its saga about mentally disturbed young girl whose vision of a punkier, Gothier Cheshire Cat than Lewis Carroll originally envisioned takes her on a homicidal quest themed around "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland."

Kate Mulgrew, best known for her role as Captain Janeway on "Star Trek Voyager," is also a veteran voice actor, providing work on a number of cartoons and video games. Her latest gig places her in the role of Flemeth, a powerful witch in the universe of "Dragon Age: Origins."
