Street Fighter X Tekken

Based on their stellar track record, fighting fans have come to expect great things from Capcom, since they always seem to go the extra mile when it comes to their marquee brawler franchises. Over the last few years they have set the 2D fighting bar higher and higher, first with Street Fighter IV, and then with Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, but their first joint venture with Namco Bandai, Street Fighter X Tekken, truly proves why they consistently stand above their competition, even when their competition is in their game. Gamers are just a few weeks away from finally get their hands on SF X T on March 6, and when they do, here are some of the things they are going to be talking about the most.

I'm surprised more DS titles that relied primarily on the touchscreen haven't made their way over to the latest crop of touch-enabled mobile devices. Up-res some of the graphics, clean up the interface where necessary, and throw it on the iTunes store and bing-bang-boom you've got a ready-made hit, right? I'm being straight here—never underestimate the impact of a high-quality port with all kinds of fun touch elements that you can play on the go.

Capcom's unique adventure game Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective is one such case, arriving on the iOS devices with what amounts to a pretty polished experience from music, to graphics, to (most importantly, of course) the core gameplay which will have you possessing objects to find out who killed your character.

The Simpsons Arcade comes to consoles 20 years after the fact, while the much-anticipated (by yours truly, at least) Gotham City Impostors and Shank 2 make their debut. Oh, and Kingdoms of Amalur might just be the best open world game that doesn't have Elder Scrolls in the title.
