"One reason that 'Tiger' is so intriguing is that it's reaching players in a way we haven't before." Those are the words of Jason Jones, one of the co-founders of Bungie, describing the developer's first post-"Halo" project. It's not a whole lot to go on, but it's something, and when it comes to new stuff about Bungie games, fans will take what they can get.
Speaking of taking what they can get, check out this hour-long documentary on the history of Bungie. It has been released as a culmination of their 20th anniversary festivities.

Back in the days before Bungie was cranking out "Halo" titles as a subsidiary of Microsoft, they were actually making games for Mac computers. In 1994, the young studio released a sci-fi first-person shooter called "Marathon." The game was a success for the Mac community, who enjoyed the game's technological advancements, like aiming with the mouse – a new thing for the time – and actually spawned itself a bit of a cult following that exists to this day. Starting today, "Marathon" makes a return to the Apple platform, thanks to one indie developer.

Back in May, we told you about the mysterious filings made under the name "Bungie Aerospace." At the time, I theorized that the name had nothing to do with Bungie's next title, instead guessing that Bungie were actually developing a new game engine. Well, it looks like I was half-right, anyways. Bungie has finally revealed what Bungie Aerospace is, and while it has pretty much zero to do with the now-independent developer's next big game, it does sound fairly interesting.

About a year ago, the internet went all abuzz about the mysterious "Bungie Aerospace." There's a website, but that just claims it's "coming soon," and the famed "Halo" developer itself has given absolutely no clues as to what in the world Bungie Aerospace is, exactly. Personally, I had all but forgotten about the name, but it appears that Bungie has now filed for incorporation under the mysterious moniker in the states of Delaware and Washington.

Late last year, former "Halo" developer Bungie launched its Bungie Beta Tester program. Fans were invited to head over to the official website and sign up for a chance to participate in surveys and playtests as the developer brings together its first non-"Halo" project since the franchise began. The sign-up closed in short order... but now it's open again. So sign up! Quick!

One of the biggest mysteries facing the video game-loving world today is what's next for Bungie. The "Halo" developer stepped away from the franchise that made them following the release of "Halo Reach" last year. They're now working on a top-secret project for Activision. Now, Twitter user supererogatory has discovered a handful of domain registrations and copyright filings that could point to whatever it is the developer is working on right now.

The Noble Map Pack DLC for "Halo: Reach" won't available until November 30, but Bungie's put together a trailer for Anchor 9, Breakpoint and Tempest that you can watch at your leisure between now and the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.

Players who do things Bungie doesn't like during "Halo: Reach" online play get punished. Players who help them reach their goal of 117 million daily and weekly challenge completions, however, get rewarded — or at least they will once that mark gets eclipsed and level caps get lifted as a result. The milestone is expected to arrive sometime in November, at which point the glass ceiling for "Reach" titles will no longer stop at Lieutenant Colonel Grade C.

Bungie's made good on their pledge to support "Halo: Reach" post-launch thus far with the addition of campaign matchmaking and by doling out punishments for cheaters. The Noble Map Pack may represent the most welcome move of all, though, when Bungie makes their new multipalyer spaces available through Xbox Live on November 30.

"StarCraft 2" cheaters aren't the only online gaming troublemakers getting targeted in crackdowns right now. Bungie posted an update Friday night that indicated credit resets and earning bans were being doled out as punishment to "Halo: Reach" players who have been exploiting a glitch that allowed them to pocket thousands of extra credits.
