While Wii U may be the topic clogging up most rumor mills, other rumors suggest that Valve may be looking into some hardware of their own. An industrial designer job listing on Valve's website describes the company as "frustrated by the lack of innovation in the computer hardware space."
During PAX Prime, I learned that it's actually kind of fun to die in Capybara Games' platformer/shooter Super Time Force. That's to say, sure I'm still not a fan of getting laser blasted out of existence by some grunt in one of the game's action-heavy levels, but I don't mind it so much when I'm able to come right back and take him out with another member of my team and even "save" the teammate who died last time.
But let me rewind a bit and break the experience down for you and hopefully explain why I'm really looking forward to the next game from the developers behind Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP. Read More...
Since debuting in 1992, Kirby has become one of the most recognizable characters in the video game industry. Having appeared in 22 separate titles, across multiple platforms, 2012 marks the 20th Anniversary of Nintendo's bubbly buddy and fans celebrated this year at PAX Prime by setting a new world record! On the second day of PAX Prime, I boarded a bus just a couple of blocks away from the Washington State Convention Center where members of the Namco Bandai team lead by Community Manager "Filthie" Rich Bantegui were showing off their plan for making you a better Tekken player. The service, which is launching alongside Tekken Tag Tournament 2 next week, is being called a "premium" online offering by the Namco Bandai team, but don't worry, it's actually free, and it might just be the thing you'll be obsessing about when you pick up the fighter on September 11th. Apologies in advance for the lack of a larger gallery from my second day at PAX Prime, but most of it was spent running between meetings, chatting with some super-enthusiastic developers, and getting a first look at some stuff I can't talk about yet.
The highlight, though, would have to be the North American debut of the Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes demo video on the stage of the Paramount, presented by Hideo Kojima was who there to talk about the series' 25 years of history. But more on that a little later today.
For now, hit the jump for a sneak peek at some of the things I checked out during the second day of PAX Prime. Read More...

You wouldn't expect Jinpachi Mishima to take a taxi to the big fight, but that's one of many fun little details in the opening cinematic for Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Besides showing off some of the game's fighters who we might not have seen in a while (Ogre! Angel! Kunimitsu!) it also sounds like Namco has trotted out the opening music for the original Tekken Tag Tournament as an added bit of nostalgia.
The latest brawler in the Tekken series will be available on the PS3 and 360 on September 11th.

"It's like a childhood fantasy to have Black Tiger set to free play inside my house."
For me, that would be either the T2 pinball game or Tekken 5, but that's neither here nor there. Cline is featured here in a scene from the documentary Video Games: The Movie talking about his experience with the classic Capcom side-scrolling dungeon crawler. He goes on to talk about how gaming has acted as a release for him in the past while firing up his own arcade machine during the interview.
Cline is the novelist behind Ready Player One and he's also responsible for the screenplay of Fanboys.
Video Games: The Movie is currently in the last couple of days of its Indiegogo campaign, and if it looks like something you might want to support, you should do so before time runs out.
