Ubisoft's multi-million seller "Just Dance" will get a sequel. That shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. The company wants to crowd-source some moves for their unnamed follow-up, though, and their search involves an international contest meant to hunt down dancers. Three winners — one from France, one from the United Kingdom and one from the United States — will represent their respective countries when the search concludes.

One of the two new Tom Clancy titles Ubisoft's Michel Verheijdt recently teased is now accounted for, as the company announced that they'll release "H.A.W.X. 2" for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii and PC.
"With over one million units sold worldwide, Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. has become a very successful brand for Ubisoft," Ubisoft's creative director Bogdan Bridinel said in a press release. "This new H.A.W.X. game is directly inspired by Tom Clancy's books, and it will enable fans to once again experience the excitement and intensity that established H.A.W.X. as a successful brand."

The above image, originally posted on Kotaku, was apparently taken by someone at GameStop. It's the artwork that's used on empty boxes to encourage pre-orders before a game releases, and this artwork points to what appears to be the next "Assassin's Creed" title (which is scheduled for a 2010 release). The title is "Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood," and it stars Ezio, alongside his band of merry assassins.

Ubisoft has said that they want to send "Assasin's Creed" to Rome for the series' next title, and unless they just like toying with everyone's expectations, it looks like we could be getting more details quite soon. With just over a month left before E3, they've chosen to taunt their Facebook friends about the Ezio spin-off with an update from the diabolical Animus project mastermind Dr. Vidic.

Weekly DLC should keep Ubisoft busy with "Splinter Cell: Conviction" for a while going forward, but they have at least two more Tom Clancy games in works behind closed doors. The titles remain guarded secrets, but the revelation means Ubisoft could have a big question mark above its Clancy lineup going into E3.

Some words could very well be lost in translation, and the he Institut de France may or may not recognize the terms "Red Steel 3" and "Vitality Sensor." Nevertheless, a French report clearly associates the two unreleased and dubiously existent products with one another, and they are now a potential couple. Where the series might go after "Red Steel 2" and how the unannounced slash'n shoot sequel would make use of Nintendo's finger ornament demands further speculation, but someone in command of the French language believes they may appear together one day.

Paul W.S. Anderson is probably best known as the director of the first "Resident Evil" movie. After skipping two follow-ups, he's returning to the franchise in "Resident Evil: Afterlife." His love of games is clear. Apart from his experience with Capcom's survivor horror series, as he's reportedly in the early stages of films based on "Castlevania" and "Driver." His interest in making movies based on game franchises goes the other way, as well. Speaking with MTV News in preparation for this week's 3D Gaming Summit, Anderson mentioned that he's interested in developing new games and movies right alongside each other.

In addition to giving away a free fix for "Splinter Cell: Conviction" freezing problems this week, Ubisoft will be giving away free guns. An MP7A1 Machine Pistol kicks off the first round of what Ubi says will be a weekly series of complimentary DLC releases for the game, and they may be available as soon as today or tomorrow through the game's Extras menu.

Some faithful first-day Xbox purchasers encountered an unpleasant problem in the second level of "Splinter Cell: Conviction," but Ubisoft reportedly has an answer already worked out. Ubi responded on their forums with a temporary solution to an outbreak of in-game freezes that were occurring (Russ ran into the problem too), but a more permanent, downloadable fix has now been announced.
