Okay, we're all duly curious/impressed with last night's Black Ops II reveal, but now the real fun begins (at least for us writing about the game, you readers out there might disagree): let's play "what if/what we want" with Treyarch's upcoming shooter. Below are 10 things we hope make their way into Black Ops II (and well, a couple that we're not so keen on seeing). We're sure to start getting a flood of information about the game heading into E3, but let's bask in this glorious moment of what could be.

Recently, game streaming site TwitchTV hit a fairly substantial milestone: after a little under a year since its debut (it made its bow online last June) it now reaches 15 million gamers monthly. That's a lot of people coming to the site each month to watch other gamers play. According to TwitchTV CEO and co-founder Emmett Shear, that represents an increase of users of 13% month over month with the average viewer watching the site for about an hour per day. For Shear, he sees the audience increasingly using the site like TV; “That’s a shift in how people consume media that I think is really interesting.”
On the other end of things, there's eSports commentator Marcus "djWHEAT" Graham, who sees the broadcasting service as a means for some gamers looking to go pro at their hobby to make a career out of the burgeoning streaming industry. When I asked about how a gamer can make a name for him or herself in eSports, Graham said “If you’re a pro, it’s pretty simple: you can go to these tournaments and make a name for yourself by playing. But I think that what Twitch is doing is offering an accelerated way to get their name out there.” He likens it to the early 90’s trend of skaters making videos, rising to prominence based on their stunts, style, and personality. “Imagine if that process of getting a skate tape to me doesn’t take eight months, and suddenly a person’s watching on a stream as you play right there.”

The latest release in the SSX series was both a triumphant return, and a bit of a letdown. The game was expertly crafted, included hours upon hours of gameplay, and finally brought the series to this console generation. However, for everything that SSX included, there was one glaring omission; the over-the-top gameplay that fans of the series had come to know and love. Only a couple months after hitting store shelves, EA is listening to its audience and offering up a round of DLC that should help stir up some much needed nostalgia for SSX fans. The Mt. Eddie pack helps bring SSX back to its roots, while helping push the series forward at the same time.

There was a time when a lot of companies were trying to get on the kart-racing bandwagon. Everyone and everything, from Konami to The Smurfs, had their own racer; Sega even dabbled a bit, putting Sonic up against some of his friends in Sonic R, Sonic Drift, and Sonic Riders. Fast forward a few years and Sega finally got things right with Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, which brought together characters from Sega's rich history to go head-to-head in a light and accessible kart racing game on just about every platform imaginable. Luckily for fans of the original, a new sequel has been announced, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, which takes the formula for the original, and expands on it by sending racers into the air, and onto the sea.
