His homebase is Mint Condition Customs, where he highlights his affinity for taking off the shelf action figures and making them new again. Often he'll transform a character into some other variation that doesn't already exist in an officially sanction toy form.

Harmon’s most recent creation has gotten a decent amount of buzz, and for good reason; it's his take on Bill "Mad Dog" Rizer and Lance "Scorpion" Bean, the stars of "Contra." Using a 3D printer, the team at Hyrule Foundry have created pixel-perfect replicas of the inventory from "The Legend of Zelda." The 32-item collection includes Link's swords, shields, food items, keys, dynamite, and more and Hyrule Foundry is offering the whole lot up for sale or as individual items on their Shapeways page to ultimately be lost somewhere in the corners of your home.

DC Direct has revealed its first run of figures based on the Netherrealm fighting game, "Injustice: Gods Among Us." Now since it's a brawler, it would only make sense that these characters be released as potential matchups, and DC Direct has created some curious pairings for the inaugural round of figures who seem based predominantly on the "regular" versions of each as opposed to their alternate universe versions.

Deathstroke/Green Arrow and Wonder Woman/Solomon Grundy will make up the first wave which will be released on May 31 and retail for $29.99. Obviously, if the series does well enough, we should expect more pairings featuring some of the alternate universe and DLC costumes down the line.

So it goes or DC Collectibles' series of "Injustice: Gods Among Us" figures which received the spotlight during Toy Fair this week. On display: crazy-detailed figures for Solomon Grundy, Wonder Woman, and the Flash, each of whom comes with their own little backing card/diorama for when you want to set up your own tyrannical superhero tableau.

LEGO's crowdsourced site for new set ideas, Cuusoo, has opened up voting for a set based on "FTL: Faster Than Light," Subset Games' fiendishly-addictive rogue-like for the PC. Even if you're not familiar with "FTL," one of the best titles of 2012, you might be impressed with some of the proposed sets being built for the campaign.

Today, Ubisoft announced that they were partnering with McFarlane Toys to bring "Assassin's Creed 3's" Connor and Haytham into the world as 6" figures. The duo, who are being offered up as the first series in a possible ongoing line of toys are the latest game to toy project for McFarlane Toys who have in the past brought characters from the "Halo" and "Metal Gear Solid" universes to toy shelves across the country.

The company's founder--comic writer, artist, and businessman--Todd McFarlane, spoke to us by phone recently about working with Ubisoft, the perils and pitfalls of working with game companies when they're protective of their characters, and some of his dream projects from other games and comic companies.
