We covered a lot of them earlier today, but even more news is trickling out of Cologne: "Everbody's Gone to the Rapture," "Resogun," and "Helldivers" are all coming to Sony platforms as well.

Dragon Age: Inquisition

BioWare have obviously never said this publicly, but the scuttlebutt has always been that "Dragon Age II" suffered from publisher EA's meddling and lack of support, funds, and development time. There'll be no such whispers surrounding "Dragon Age: Inquisition," though: during Gamescom, BioWare and Electronic Arts announced a Fall 2014 release for the upcoming role-playing game.

Here's something you don't need to be told: video game movies are generally awful. The flimsier the source material's narrative (hey, they're games; it's expected/forgiven in many cases), the worse the big screen adaptation (with the only real exception being the first live action Mortal Kombat, naturally).

Which is why folks on YouTube try their best to do it right, and quite often they succeed far more so than Hollywood or wherever the heck Uwe Boll is these days. With the most recent example being an adaptation of the arcade classic Asteroids.

It should come as no surprise that Infinity Ward has not reinvented the wheel with the multiplayer in "Call of Duty: Ghosts." At a glance, this is the same, addictive and fast-paced multiplayer that has sucked in many, many players since "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare." After all, if that same wheel keeps scooping up cash and keeping people playing year after year, why change it? Well, instead of completely reinventing the thing, Infinity Ward has basically said "Okay, this wheel works pretty darn well. Let's just put some awesome playing cards in the spokes, add some LED lights, and figure out how to make this thing more awesome. While we weren't treated to the full multiplayer at the reveal, we did get to play a decent chunk of it, and we're happy to report that yes, this wheel is indeed more awesome.

Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs

A recent delay notwithstanding, news from thechineseroom on "Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs" has been scant, and you'll not hear me complaining. It's not so much that I've forgotten about "Amnesia" as that I've tried my best to repress the memory of its existence: a swine crucifixion just plain gives me the willies.
