All the way through its E3 debut last year, LucasArts was cagey with details about the story for its gritty shooter, "Star Wars 1313." Well, it seems like part of the reason for that was because behind the scenes, as recently as that May, George Lucas was signing off on focusing "Star Wars 1313" on fan favorite bounty hunter Boba Fett, according to a report from Kotaku.
Like something sprung from the low budget, high ambition fantasies of the 80's VHS era lunatics who brought us "Mega Force" (or maybe, more appropriately the cyberpunk fantasies of something like "Nemesis"), comes this Xbox LIVE box art and a banner for the "Far Cry 3" DLC "Blood Dragon."
The image comes from--where else--dedicated NeoGaf users possibly giving us a hint of what Ubisoft has in store for what would appear to be more story content from last year's head trip shooter.
Avalanche Studios founder Christofer Sundberg tweeted the blurry image above earlier this week (which was spotted by Kotaku), touting it as one of the big games the studio is working on in 2013. Featuring an unknown character seeming to eject some unfortunate guy from his motorcycle seat, it appears to be set amid some dusty, dirty hills.
So could the man doing the ejecting be Rico Rodriguez of "Just Cause" fame?
Last night, Sony released a 45-second teaser (seen above) that invites gamers to "see the future" on February 20th, 2013. Shortly after, invites to a "PlayStation Meeting" were sent out. According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, this "PlayStation Meeting" event, will see the PlayStation 4 get its official reveal. Read More...
Oh, "Sleeping Dogs," you're the gift that keeps on giving. And if a report coming out of the Achievement/Trophy-tracking site Exophase (via Eurogamer) is to be believed, Wei Shen will have yet another new adventure on the way timed with next week's Chinese New Year.
Someday soon (hopefully) Microsoft and Sony will announce their new gaming consoles. Until that day arrives, we'll have to keep ourselves entertained with rumors and speculation. The latest rumblings on Sony's supposed PlayStation 4 further suggest the console's new controllers with sport a touchscreen, though it won't be on the front. Read More...
How big? According to Eurogamer, big enough to require an eight-person writing team which will include lead writer Mac Walters. The untitled DLC is being developed by BioWare's Edmonton studio, and according to one of the company's designers, that number represents pretty much the entire writing team there.
But BioWare's not just throwing a bunch of writers at the next story set (presumably) in and around "Mass Effect 3."
If some online investigation by some NeoGAF users pans out, then Capcom might be continuing their support of the idiosyncratic RPG "Dragon's Dogma."
The DLC, announced via Capcom's Japanese blog would launch on December 4th as a free download for both the PS3 and 360. The new hard mode would open up a new clothing set, "the King's Robe," as well as a pair of new sets of hardware; completing the time attack mode would open up male and female-specific clothing sets so you can dress your speechless hero in glory.
