This week in the eShop "Marvel Pinball" gets a demo, "Mutant Mudds" gets an update and "New Super Mario Bros. 2" gets two new Coin Rush course packs, the "Gold Mushroom Pack" and "Coin Challenge Pack B". though the Wii hasn't been getting much love for past few weeks, 'Shock Troopers" has hit the Virtual Console. 'Awesomenauts' Developer Torrenting Demo For Cancelled Wii Title

Following their their Wii release De Blob, back in 2007, the group of Utrecht School of Arts grads who then made up future Awesomenauts developer Ronimo would attempt to develop a title in the vein of the Ratchet & Clank series. Titled Snowball Earth, it was to be a full, disc-based retail title based around an extraterrestrial robot thawing out the Earth following an ice age.

That pretty much sums up Retro City Rampage.

Retro City Rampage is an anomaly on multiple levels. It started off as a pet project of sole developer Brian Provinciano and was to be a "reinterpretation" (read: de-make) of Grand Theft Auto as a homebrew game for the Nintendo Entertainment System (yes, that NES). That is not what Retro City Rampage ended up being. In the end, it's a thoughtful, caring, love letter to games from days gone by. Ultimately it’s a mix of hundreds of different games and pop culture references mashed into one top-down festival of carnage for your PlayStation 3 and/or PlayStation Vita.

Nintendo Wii Gets A Price Drop Just In Time For Wii U

With the holiday season right around the corner Nintendo has dropped the asking price for the Wii down to $129.99 in hopes of clearing the way for the Wii U, which lands next month. Ohio State University Marching Band Performs Video Game Tribute During Halftime!

Gamers who attended the Ohio State vs Nebraska football game over the weekend got a pleasant surprise during halftime. This is one of the biggest updates we've seen in awhile, and though we already knew about some things, like the Donkey Kong giveaway, there's still plenty to keep us busy this week. One of the most interesting choices is Pokemon Dream Radar, which will have you chasing stray Pokemon around the house. Head past the break for the full update!
