"Super Mario Bros." helped sell the NES, "Super Mario 64" was the reason to get a N64, the original Game Boy was initially believed just to be a "Tetris" playing device, and the only game you absolutely needed for the Wii, again at the very beginning, was "Wii Sports."

So to say that original pack-in for Nintendo's previous console was kind of special is an understatement. That and how it sold the very concept of motion-sensing games to the masses. Again, "Wii Sports" is more than a little significant.

And it's coming back for the Wii U, though in a slightly manner than before, along with new bells and whistles.

The Wonderful 101

Platinum Games have developed a reputation for making these complex and deep games that hidden behind a layer of shiny gloss. Just look at any of their console releases, from "MadWorld," to "Bayonetta," to "Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance," there always seems to be something that gets in the way of the discussion about the game itself. With their latest release, "The Wonderful 101," the fact that it's out on the Wii U and that it is published by Nintendo, seems to be the headline, however, when you dig a bit deeper there is a whole lot of game here, most of which is completely unlike anything else on the market.

It is the year 2013 and there is still no unified account system for Nintendo's customers.

Whereas not being able to link one's Wii and DSi accounts were somewhat understandable, given that digital downloads was relatively undiscovered territory (at least on the console side, for back in 2006), plus both systems came out years apart from each other.

Both the Wii U and 3DS were both developed and released close to each, and both sport the Nintendo eShop, yet one needs to manage games and credit on each ends individually. What is this and will this change anytime soon?

Compared to the cardio and fitness focus of last year's 'Zumba Fitness Core', the Zumba series' 2013 offering, 'Zumba Fitness World Party' feels like the franchise's opportunity to stretch its legs beyond the familiar core workouts and fitness. While 'Fitness Core' was user friendly, 'Zumba Fitness World Party' is notably more approachable, putting the franchise's world music appeal at the forefront.

The "Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker" has always been a class of its own, and in many different ways, as noted yesterday. So when word first came of a HD remake, the reaction was not as jubilant as one might have expected.

After-all, the original's aesthetics is still very impressive; what is there to improve? And while some hardcore fans are not happy with the remake's visual direction, many others are simply unable to detect any differences.

So, what are the differences between the original version and the revamped version anyway? That's exactly what GameXplain decided to find out.

Nintendo has revealed the latest challenger to be confirmed for the next Super Smash Bros, coming to both the Wii U and 3DS. And it's Mario's gal pal, Princess Peach herself.

Though, as she often does every once in a while, she's doing away with the whole damsel in distress shtick in this instance, to show that she can take care of herself when need be it.

Wind Waker HD

Anyone that has ever played "The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker" will tell you that it's unlike any game in the franchise. On the surface, the game's graphical style stands out above all else as the a defining feature, but you have to dig a bit deeper, and look at its origins within the walls of Nintendo, to see what really separates it from the rest of Link's adventures. We recently spoke with the game's Director, Eiji Aonuma, and he explain that there was a fundamental difference between the development of "Wind Waker" (and its upcoming re-release "Wind Waker HD") and any of the other "Zelda"s, both the ones that came before it, as well as since.
