With all this talk of the PS4 and Xbox One, there's still one reason why many are holding onto their PS3s and Xbox 360s. And that reason is "Dark Souls 2". And finally, we have arrival dates for said game: March 11, 2014 in North America, and March 14 of next year as well for Europe.

gtav

So it's the day that we've all been waiting for: "GTA V" is finally here. But many have yet to pick up a copy. Why? Because, for those who have both a Xbox 360 and PS3, they don't know which version to get. And it's a fair question, but one that's tricky to tackle.

Still, there are two basic criteria that can help answer the question. First: online play. On one hand, the 360 has traditionally had a more thriving online community for games, but with the rise in popularity of PlayStation Plus, that's slowly changing.

Whereas the second criteria is, naturally, graphics. Many will recall the PS3 edition of GTA IV not looking so hot, when compared to the 360's. But that was years ago, when the PS3 versions were generally inferior to the 360 equivalents. Much has changed since; even Rockstar's subsequent multiplatform releases are indicative of this.

Arguably the greatest virtue of the "Battlefield" series of games is the full-scale mayhem of the multiplayer, allowing the open maps of each title to become a collision of ordinance, out of control vehicles, and destruction.

Here's hoping EA and developer DICE can up the ante on this front with the upcoming "Battlefield 4," whose updated multiplayer is detailed in the game's latest trailer.

Yusuke Kozaki might not have been the guest of honor at the recent U.S. debut of the French-run Japan Expo (it was 'Evangelion' character designer Yoshiyuki Sadamoto), but the video game artist certainly got his fair share of attention. With last spring's "Fire Emblem: Awakening" still fresh in the gamers' 3DS', Kozaki's character designing style has become all the more recognizable. We caught up with him at Japan Expo to talk about his background, his experiences as a character designer for games, and his music tastes.

Hey! Are you one of the hundreds of thousands of white-knuckled GTA fans biting their nails in anticipation for tomorrow's launch of Rockstar's next big thing in their flagship Grand Theft Auto series? Yes? Then you're probably already dead set on a purchase and probably don't need any more convincing. It's grand time full of debauchery, chaotic chases, and maniacal mayhem and is definitely well worth the inevitable "sick day" you'll call in to get out of work for a full day of GTA this Tuesday. Likewise, gamers that have never loved these titles can rest assured that the fifth numbered entry is more of the same - albeit prettier and a bit more refined.

Once again returning to the fake-Californian city of Los Santos, gently nestled between the immense Pacific Ocean and imposing Rockies, is a city littered with opportunity - especially for those willing to grab it by any means necessary. The bright lights and sandy beaches invite all manner of people from yuppies, hippies, criminals, wanna-be starlets, and sociopaths alike. It's never a dull moment in LS and its surrounding county is ripe for the taking for the fiduciary felonious fellow.

For those others who are wavering between play or don't or who may never have played a GTA before read on for my full review of "Grand Theft Auto V."
