You won't need to level up and hunt down a mount to get an animal companion in Blizzard Entertainment's latest in-game business venture. The newly opened "World of Warcraft" Pet Store accepts real money for critters and even includes a charitable angle tied to its $10 price tags.

If you're hoping for a website that'll share all your "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" glories, akin to Bungie's "Halo" stat-tracking site, Bungie.net, you're fresh out of luck for launch. We spoke to Infinity Ward about the potential for a similar, community-based site for "Modern Warfare 2," which they didn't quite rule out, but admitted that it's not something that'll be built into the launch. Check out the video interview with Robert Bowling up top.
The above launch trailer for "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" features scenes from the length and breadth of the single-player campaign. If that sorta thing bothers you, I'd strongly recommend waiting until next Tuesday. If you just can't contain yourself, though, live it up!

REO Speedwagon tracks have already found their way to "Rock Band." Unlike Van Halen, Metallica or The Beatles, however, who have all chosen music-based released to make their headlining video game debuts, REO has selected the lesser trod genre of "hidden object adventure" games to come to PC's and Macs. "Find Your Own Way Home," named for the track and title of the band's 2007 studio album, promises 10 hours of gameplay and all-new recordings of REO songs from publisher Merscom and production studio Curious Sense.

One of the enemies you'll face in "Modern Warfare 2"'s Spec-Ops mode is aptly named The Juggernaut. Basically imagine a huge, hulking dude in a bomb defusal suit who will march at you until you manage to take him down with explosives and .50 caliber rounds. It's the equivalent of a boss character in Spec-Ops and you really don't want to get on the business end of one of these guys.
The lead character designer for "Modern Warfare 2" discusses the creation of the Juggernaut in the video up top. Enjoy!
With people still up in arms about the lack of dedicated servers in the PC version of "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2," we spoke directly to Robert Bowling at Infinity Ward to get his final word on the matter. You can see his response above, but the general theme seems to be: Wait and see.

EA is continuing its long and difficult campaign of convincing people that "Dragon Age: Origins" is not quite as nerdy as it appears. Today's featured attempt? Bringing 30 Seconds To Mars into the mix. The band contributed one of their new singles, "This Is War," for use in the game. The song is the title track from their upcoming album which drops on December 8th.
Jared Leto, the band's front-man, provided this canned, somewhat antiseptic statement:

Recently we took a tour around the Infinity Ward studios to see the last few bolts being screwed on to "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2." We spoke to a bunch of folks from the team, and I'll be running clips from the interviews right on through to the game's release next Tuesday.
First up we have Joel Emslie, the Lead Character Artist for "Modern Warfare 2," discussing the returning characters. Don't worry, it's pretty spoiler-free, but he does explain why Soap (the returning protagonist from the first game) is now sporting a mohawk. Hmm...I guess he could've had one before and we just didn't know, but this time we get a face full of it. Check out the video below.

In a place ruled by magic and feudal lords, an ancient evil stirs every few hundred years to cast a Blight across the land. The continued survival of these people is ensured by a small group of heroic individuals, warriors of peace charged with uniting the disparate factions into a single force capable of repelling the forces of the underworld. Is it Dungeons & Dragons? The Lord of the Rings? No. The land is called Ferelden, its peacekeepers are the Grey Wardens and the creator of it all is BioWare. Welcome to "Dragon Age: Origins."

EA CEO John Riccitiello said that an "American McGee's Alice" sequel was under construction for PC and consoles, and it now appears that "Return of Alice" has made it far enough to warrant a trailer and release year clarification. Following its 2000 cult-hit predecessor, the new Chinese-developed action title appears to continue its saga about mentally disturbed young girl whose vision of a punkier, Gothier Cheshire Cat than Lewis Carroll originally envisioned takes her on a homicidal quest themed around "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland."
