Will Wright is a genius. He's the guy behind the The Sims, and now the ultimate sandbox-type creation game Spore. And while he clearly loves making games, he definitely is not into the fame that comes with it. At least today.

Woe be to the sucker Stormtrooper who's being picked up and hurled down with great force by a Jedi's force powers. The Trooper flails wildly, grabs onto a pipe for dear life, and then is violently hurled into space when the Jedi rips the pipe from its base and flings it away cruelly.
BioWare's Mass Effect is the best game ever (this second). It's an RPG for the Xbox 360, and it looks simply amazing. You're a human in space out to uncover the secrets of galactic holocaust which means, well, you have to shoot a lot of aliens right in the mouth.

Capcom brings a calligraphist canine to PS2 later this year with Okami. You play as a spirit wolf who rights wrongs in a stylishly rendered fantasy world. It's pretty standard adventure fare -- explore an area, talk to any friendly characters and destroy everyone else.
The Foundation 9 party at Hollywood Cuban club Nacional last night was hopping with developer types on Death Jr., The Da Vinci Code, Dirty Harry, Sonic Rivals, MechAssault: Phantom War, Brooktown High, Charlotte's Web, etc. drinking and dancing away the stresses of the show.
