What need does Bethesda have for another post-apocalyptic first-person franchise? You'd think they might have that on lock. In any case, the rumor mill is buzzing that the Maryland-based developer has snagged the rights to make an original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game, according to Ukranian blogger and marketing professional Sergey Galyonkin. Galyonkin was hip to the closure of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 studio earlier this year, so he might know what he's talking about this time around.

Team Gearbox talks about attempting to capture the feel of a direct follow-up to James Cameron's Aliens with next February's Colonial Marines. The SEGA-published FPS, which takes place 17 weeks after the conclusion of Cameron's film had input from Alien director Ridley Scott, who revealed some of his own concept art for his own ideas about an Aliens followup.
