"New Super Mario Bros. 2" for the 3DS has proven that Nintendo isn't afraid to jump into the DLC game, and it looks like they plan on continuing the trend with "New Super Mario Bros. U". The roster for the upcoming brawler just got larger by two with the Sony's announcement that "Starhawk" hero Emmet Graves and "Gravity Rush" heroine Kat (pictured) would be joining the lineup as in early 2013. Both will be available for free for the first two weeks of their release, according to a post on the PlayStation blog.

Bethesda has released more details for the December 4th DLC which will take "Skyrim" players back to the land of Morrowind. Want more shouts? Want to see more creatures and presumably get dragged into more intrigues? Then this is probably the expansion for you.

Team Ninja has been fairly conservative in the designs for their "Dead or Alive 5" costume packs. I don't mean in terms of skimpiness, whatever opinion you may have of that. There's just not a lot of wild variation in styles or creativity. For instance, when "Tekken 6" was released, Namco Bandai commissioned famous manga artists to come up with alternate costumes for several of that game's fighters, very welcome deviations from the series' familiar styles. I kind of wish more developers would embrace that and "break" the cohesion of their existing style every once in a while.

You've probably already put your copy of Darksiders II away, but Vigil Games isn't quite done with the dark fantasy adventure. On October 30th, they're releasing "The Abyssal Plains" DLC which will add a new area to the campaign, along with new loot, enemies, and dungeons.

Apparently, Joystiq recently received a picture of "Borderlands 2" PS3 trophies which could hint to the next DLC pack coming out for the loot'n'shoot sequel. In the photo you can see what appear to be trophies listed for "Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage". Could this be the next DLC campaign for "Borderlands 2"? Read More...
