American Idol's ratings may be slowly drying up, and Simon Cowell may be packing his bags, but that hasn't stopped the release of a brand new game based on the series.

The game in question is "American Idol Star Experience"; a downloadable PC game that allows players to create an avatar, choose a song, and then have a say in choreography, stage lighting and special effects. Once the show has been put together, players can upload it to their Facebook page so that they're friends can act as those snarly judges.

MySpace has announced it will launch the MySpace Games Lab in order to help third-party app makers bring more social games to its network. In addition, an internal team will be launched to create more in-house games on MySpace, in a program that is being designed to rival Facebook.

Pakistan Bans Facebook

Pakistan has banned access to Facebook from 19 May 2010, after officials from the country were outraged by a Facebook page that promotes users to draw images of an Islamic prophet.

The Facebook page in question is titled "Everybody Draw Mohammed Day," and asks users to upload images of Islam's holy man that they've drawn. The page was created to protest against Islamic Extremists' threats and violence against past portrayals of Mohammed.
