The first handheld "Assassin's Creed" may be coming to consoles, even an image floating around the Chinese forums of A9VG are to be believed.
The image below reveals the logo for a purported HD remake of "Assassin's Creed: Liberation." While no platform details are offered, it would be safe to assume that Ubisoft would want to see a remake on both current and next-gen consoles.
"Assassin's Creed: Liberation" was released last year alongside "Assassin's Creed III." This side story is set in Louisiana at the end of the French and Indian War (1752-1763), putting players in the role of the series' first female assassin, Aveline de Grandpré.
In the past, Ubisoft hasn't made a lot of moves on the HD remake front, but given the tepid response to "Liberation" (amid struggles with the entire Vita library), it would make sense that they'd seek a return on investment with a version that's accessible to a wider audience.
