There are those who are eagerly anticipating the arrival of the PlayStation 4, and then you have those who don't even a own a PlayStation 3.
Some are Xbox 360 owners who have yet to jump on the bandwagon, while others lack any current gaming hardware period. Whatever the case, most are simply waiting for prices to go down. And that day has finally arrived.
Engadget reports that brand new PS3s for just $200, which is the lowest price point ever, are coming to North America in the coming weeks. These new models all sport a 12GB flash based hard drive, hence the low cost: low capacity.
Then again, with a flash based drive, at least access data will be lighting quick, and most of the folks who nab this configuration will probably not be the hardcore gaming type, so it won't affect them too much.
Plus, at the end of the day, it's relatively easy to swap out the hard drive in the system, for something bigger. The as of yet unannounced model, though all signs point towards it happening, is expected to hit stores August 18th.
