Connecting a PlayStation DualShock 3 controller to an Android device isn't necessarily anything new, but it looks like Sony is doing what they can to make wireless connection a little easier. The upcoming Xperia SP will support DualShock 3 controllers right out of the box, allowing you to play various Google Play and PlayStation Mobile games with physical controls.
As demonstrated in the video above, setup is simple thanks to the new software. All you do is connect the controller to the device via USB to enable Bluetooth pairing. Once the devices are paired, the USB cable won't be need for future connections. Instead, users will jut have to push the PS button as if the gamepad had been connected to a PS3.
For now it appears the feature is locked to the upcoming Xperia SP smartphone, though it wouldn't be too far-fetched to assume that it will eventually make its way to other Xperia devices.
