Garrett's back to show all you budding cutpurses how it's really done. Eidos-Montreal's new trailer has all the appropriate touches for a new "Thief" game including ominous, gravelly VO espousing what it really takes to become a master of shadow, timing, and reflexes.
From the release:
There is a rising tide of fear in The City. Hatred saturates every stone and whilst the rich prosper, the less fortunate face misery and repression. Ravaged with sickness and famine, they wait for something to change.
Into this shadowy world steps Garrett the Master Thief in a first-person adventure featuring intelligent design that allows players to take full control, with freedom to choose how they approach and overcome each challenge and forge their own path through the game.
Neat, yes? I'm ashamed to admit that I never really played any of the "Thief"'s (Thieves?) but I'm really looking forward to diving into this steampunk world of mystery. I love a good game about sneaking around and generally being up to no good and Charles has some advice about what he'd like to see in this fourth entry by Eidos. I'm pretty sure that "Thief" is good hands and hopefully we'll get another fantastic stealth based game later this year.
