The studio took to its social networks to tease out new... things from the "Thief" and "Deus Ex" franchises, starting with the trailer above which shows off the first in-engine footage from the "Thief" reboot.
Tomorrow we should expect the official unveiling of "Deus Ex: Human Defiance," whatever that might be. Back in February, the first trademark for "Human Defiance" was spotted by Eurogamer, feeding speculation that a new game was in development at Eidos Montreal or possibly that it was possibly linked to the film currently in development by the "Sinister" duo of director Scott Derrickson and co-writer C. Robert Cargill.
"Thief," meanwhile, got its first teaser last week via its forums. While the teaser above allows Eidos Montreal to trot out some in-engine footage of fingers snuffing out a flame, it also allowed the studio to tease something for this Tuesday, April 2--likely the first trailer for the series reboot, which is coming to next-gen consoles and the PC in 2014.
It's the first new "Thief" game since 2004's "Thief: Deadly Shadows," long rumored to be in development as the PS3/360/PC title "Thief 4" (or "Thi4") before its recent unveiling as a next generation effort.
