One of the saddest things I've read recently is this Slate piece on how--in the midst of the OutKast' extended hiatus--Big Boi and Andre 3000 seem to have taken to communicating with each other through their work and radio shows. That doesn't have anything to do with this announcement that Big Boi will be joining fellow Southern rapper B.o.B. in "Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel" as characters while contributing a track to the shooter's OST.
The duo will be appearing in the game as characters Charles "Chuy" Randall (Big Boi) and Anthony “Baker” Barnes (B.o.B) as T.W.O. operatives working alongside Salem and Rios to take down the Mexican drug cartels. The track they've prepared for the game is called "Double or Nothing" and will serve as the official theme for "The Devil's Cartel," with a planned release of early 2013.
EA's sweetening the deal for those who preorder the game by making Randall and Barnes playable characters as part of the Hit-Makers Kit, which features "a one-of-a-kind T.W.O.Contract mission that will allow them to play as Big Boi and B.o.B’s characters, as well as custom masks and weapon skins designed by the artists themselves."
"Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel" will be available on the 360, PS3, and PC on March 26th from EA and Visceral Games.
