Nintendo is a company that is known to treat their fans well, but every now and then they go above and beyond, brining a little extra joy to some of their less fortunate followers. Late last week, Nintendo, in conjunction with the New York arm of Big Brothers Big Sisters, hosted an event at the Queens Center Mall to give some of the Littles a fun Friday night out playing video games.
Congregating around the area that is dedicated to Nintendo's Wii U mall tour kiosk, as many as 50 Littles, their Bigs, and their families were invited to spend some time playing some of the best games from Nintendo's holiday line up. The kids had an opportunity to get their hands on games like New Super Mario Bros. U, Nintendo Land, Just Dance 4, and ZombiU as well as have their pictures taken with Mario. As a parting gift, each child that attended was also given a 3DS XL and a copy of New Super Mario Bros. 2 to help kick off their holiday season.
This isn't the first time that Nintendo has partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters, earlier this year in March, the Nintendo World Store played host to another group of Littles to help celebrate the launch of Mario Party 9.
