Personally, I've never been a fan of the PlayStation Store when compared to Xbox 360's digital marketplace. However, all of that could very well change on October 23rd. Last week Sony showed off a quick tease of the new and improved PlayStation Store, but now they're giving us a full video walkthrough, which you can watch after the break.
The team at PlayStation says the new PS Store will bring a re-imagined user interface, predictive search and improved filtering to the console's online market. Apparently, it also offers more in-depth information about games, add-ons and apps, as well as movies and TV shows. But you don't have to take my word for it, you can get the full breakdown in the video below.
One of the coolest features looks like it will be the pages that are dedicated to specific franchises. The "Resident Evil" page, for instance, pulls all of the Resident Evil content available on PS3 into a single place. Whether it's games, videos, DLC or anything else Resident Evil related, it looks like the new PlayStation Store is going to make it much easier to find. Unfortunately, it looks like the update will only be changing the store on PS3 as an update for PS Vita has yet to be announced.
