"The Last Sermon" brings the doom and gloom that precedes the end of all things.
That priest look familiar to you? That's Game of Thrones actor James Cosmo (Jeor), telling you that things are about to get bad with the end of days on the way. But hey, at least Death will look cool in the midst of all of this.
Here's the full synopsis for the August release:
Darksiders II follows the exploits of Death, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, in an action-packed tale that runs parallel to the events in the original Darksiders game. This epic journey propels Death through various light and dark realms as he tries to redeem his brother War, the horseman blamed for prematurely starting the Apocalypse in Darksiders.
Cosmo will be voicing Maker Elder Eidard in the game as well as other characters. The actor, who's been performing since the 60's, is making Darksiders II his first foray into voiceover.
The trailer itself was put together by Hammer Creative, who in the past, have been responsible for cinematic trailers for Arkham City and the Saints Row franchise. Shot in Prague, the trailer was directed by Abdel Abonamous.
Darksiders II will be available on August 14th for the PS3 and 360, with the PC version following sometime that same month. A Wii U version will be available during that console's launch window.
