There's a strain of game that I think I'll never quite "get," and it's the ones where players are allowed to see themselves in the game. I'm always curious about the appeal and whether there's a prolonged sense of pleasure at seeing oneself on the TV. Personally, I'd rather not—I have a healthy shame of my body and its occasionally lurching, often awkward movements.
If you're not a great, big awkward weirdie like me, then you might be the audience for UTV Ignition's Kung-Fu: High Impact.

Behold the ultimate combination of Portal fandom and holiday cheer:
Ryan Kelly chats with io9 about the displaced (but no less festive) Christmas tree he made with his co-workers this year (no, they don't all work at Aperture Science). He also gives details on how it was made, just in case you'd like to make your own next year! Kelly's secret? Using an artificial tree that handily breaks into multiple pieces.

This synchronized Christmas light show is like yuletide downloadable content for your house. Skyrim’s booming main theme might not convey the most conventional Christmas spirit, but it certainly reminds your neighbors just how much time you commit to your nerd hobbies.
Just tell the kids you were too busy saving the world from dragons to get them gifts this year. They’ll understand.

In 2009, developers Frozenbyte introduced the world to Amadeus, Pontius and Zoya, the three unlikely stars of "Trine." These characters, the wizard, the knight and the thief, each with a unique skill set, were literally brought together by a mysterious artifact, the Trine, to put an end to an undead siege on their kingdom. The title stood out as one of that year's most novel and gorgeous downloadable games. Now it's two years later and gamers are again treated to another bite sized opus from Frozenbyte in "Trine 2," which follows very closely in the critically praised footsteps of the original.

Earlier in the year Sony introduced PSP Dual Packs that gave gamers the opportunity two buy two popular UMD games in one package for an affordable price. Surprisingly, they aren't giving up on the UMD dual packs and have revealed another three that will be available from brick-and-mortar stores and PSN as digital downloads.
The new dual packs throw together Twisted Metal: Head On and Motorstorm: Arctic Edge; Patapon and LocoRoco; and Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee and Hot Shots Tennis. Each dual pack will be available beginning sometime in January (yea, they weren't very specific). Read more...
