Although it won't be hitting until sometime in 2013, will the next Tom Clancy shooter be the first game to tackle the banking crisis?
Bankers: the terrorists in Rainbow 6 Patriots blow them up, apparently. Or at least, that's what appears to be the gist of this cinematic trailer for Ubisoft's next Tom Clancy-branded game. Will developers Ubisoft Montreal and Red Storm Entertainment be able to tell a nuanced story that deals with liberty, commerce, politics, and terror?
From a story standpoint, this is one of the titles I'm most interested in from the VGA premieres, because this could be a Mature title that earns its "M" rating for the right reasons (having themes, creating genuine disturbance for the player). On the flip side, it could simply be using the provocative themes and plots as window dressing so your Rainbow 6 squad mates have something to shoot at.
Rainbow 6 Patriots is coming to the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC in 2013.
