The Noob Teaches the Vet the Finer Points of Trash Talk In This 'Modern Warfare 3' Trailer

Posted 12/2/11 1:01 pm EST by Charles Webb in activision, PC, PS3, Trailer, Video, Xbox 360

Careful, there might be a little bit of saucy language in the latest Jonah Hill/Sam Worthington team-up.

Activision, why even bother creating ads for Modern Warfare 3 at this stage of the game? I mean, at this point, given the record-breaking sales and the fact that everyone who's not playing Skyrim is trying to get their Prestige on for the fifth or sixth time, you can kind of assume that the wind simply whispers the words Modern Warfare 3 and gamers hear it and respond with money.

Still, I guess you have to keep supporting the brand and if Activision didn't want to advertise the hell out of the series, we wouldn't get these pretty terrific ads featuring Sam Worthington and the incredible shrinking Jonah Hill. Wait, did it sound like I was busting on Hill? Not at all, it's great seeing the guy slim down and look healthy and there's serious talk about him getting at least an Oscar nod for his role in Moneyball so I'm happy that the Superbad star is having what looks like a good year.

Oh, the latest video? It's the Vet and the Noob grappling with the problematic issue of FPS trash talk and the possible harm that it can create for in-team dynamics. Also it has Hill blowing up a guy using an RPG and that's never not funny.
