Check out the ghetto Batmobiles and budget Jokers in this latest animated trailer from the upcoming comic squad-based FPS from Monolith Productions.
I'm pretty sure that at this point, I've been very clear about my excitement for this upcoming Team Fortress-meets-Batman face off between the Citizen Batmen and the Jokerz, and I'm sure part of that has to do with the very cool animated trailers the dev has been releasing (I really need to find out who's responsible for producing them). With a console beta on the way and its January 10th release just around the corner, I'm really eager to see what Monolith has in store with this oddball game.
Here's the synopsis for the upcoming game:
Gotham City Impostors is an original download-only first-person shooter where up to 12 players battle for control of an unhinged Gotham City overrun by Impostors inspired by the DC Comics characters Batman and The Joker. Gotham City Impostors is an online multiplayer game unlike any other, giving players the opportunity to engage in unconventional urban warfare as they personalize their own Impostors. Gamers will create their very own version of the Bats or the Jokerz characters using unprecedented customization options including insane costumes, homemade gadgets and a wide range of traditional and inventive weapons. The game will feature maps and modes inspired by DC Comics’ Batman license.
Gotham City Impostors will be available to download January 10th through Xbox Live, PSN, and on the PC.
