And Then There Was The Time Capcom Made A Sour Patch Kids Game

Posted 12/1/11 3:00 pm EST by Charles Webb in capcom, DLC, News, PC, PS3, PSN, Video, Xbox 360, Xbox Live Arcade

I'm not gonna lie: this is only the second weirdest candy-related video game I've come across over the years.

Over on "GregaMan's" blog page at the Capcom-Unity blog, the Resident Evil and Mega Man developers/publishers announced the spring PC and winter console release of the downloadable action adventure game, Sour Patch Kids: World Gone Sour. Also, they produced a three-minute music video with rapper Method Man to promote the whole thing for some reason.

You can find the description of this bit of madness as well as images and the trailer below:

World Gone Sour will put players in the role of a lost Sour Patch Kid in a "stylized human-sized world," guiding their hero through the sticky floors of a movie theater, across the counter of a concession stand, and other unique and oversized environments.

More info, screenshots, and amazing video after jump.

Joining forces with fellow lost Sour Patch Kids, players will use a combination of jumps, twists and puzzle-solving to negotiate and overcome larger than life obstacles. Along the way, they will battle unusual candy enemies, escape from deranged humans, and face-off against bizarre creatures including one very angry wad of sticky chewing gum. Your ultimate destination? The human stomach.

Sour Patch Kids: World Gone Sour The Lost Kids Music Video

Sour Patch Kids: World Gone Sour will be available sometime this winter for $4.99 on the PC and in the spring for XBLA and PSN for 400 MS Points/$4.99.
