More 'Arkham City' DLC on the Way in December

Posted 11/29/11 1:16 pm EST by Charles Webb in DLC, News, PC, PS3, Xbox 360

Hope you liked the challenge rooms in Arkham City because it looks like developer Rocksteady is about to give you some more in December. Via their @arkhamcitynews Twitter feed, the team behind a game that we thought was pretty alright have seemingly promised a little more of it with "an all-new Batcave... Joker's Carnival and the Icerberg Lounge." Presumably these will be additional combat and stealth challenge rooms for Batman to do the crimefighting thing in.

Rocksteady's post-release support of the game has been steady, with the recent DLC releases of the Robin and Nightwing characters and challenges. Still, as much as I love the combat in the game, I do wonder if the team has any plans for any additional narrative-based content for the game. While I had some qualms about the storytelling in Arkham City, I really dug a lot of the side missions that involved you hunting down some of the lesser-known villains from Batman's rouge's gallery. Stranger or lesser known characters like Killer Moth, or downright strange ones like Orca might have a chance to shine in the AC, and I, for one, would have a great time hunting them down. Alternately, our time with Two-Face in the game was woefully short and a heavy so vital to Batman's mythology really needed more time in the spotlight--c'mon, Rocksteady, respond to my requests on the Internet!
