What the hell is "VidRhythm"? It's really best if you don't know. But given that Harmonix is asking for $2 for their latest creation, I know many will not simply download the app on good faith, so I'll try to detail as much as I can without spoiling it.
"VidRhythm" is a music video creator for those who don't have the first clue about video editing. It asks that you select a song (the app comes with 20 pre-loaded) and a theme, ranging from cats to colors to "Dance Central." Then you're tasked with recording all of the sound for that tune. Generally this is no more than six or seven sounds, recorded through your iOS camera, complete with video. The process, starting from scratch to finished music video, takes as little as three minutes.

About a month ago, Sony announced the launch of an "Assassin's Creed: Revelations" beta for PlayStation Network. At the time, it seemed as though only PlayStation Plus subscribers would actually have access to the preview, denying early access to those without a premium service upgrade. Well, long for access no more, as the "Revelations" team are opening up the beta to everyone with a PlayStation Network account. Sharpen up your wrist-blades.

It's pretty rare to find a game these days that intentionally thrusts players into a mysterious and deadly world with little to no instruction to guide them. No tutorial, no on-screen prompts, no nothing. You arrive in a place of danger and the only way you can learn how to survive is by dying a whole bunch. Recent examples, like "Limbo" and "Minecraft" are few and far between, but in the '80s and '90s, brutally merciless games were pretty common. One of my favorites was "Out of this World," also known as "Another World" across the globe. And now the game's creator, Eric Chahi, is bringing his alien adventure to iPhone and iPad on September 22.

UPDATE: We originally had the price of "Hunting Party" at $80. It is actually $70.
ORIGINAL STORY:
Yesterday, something totally surreal happened. A giant trailer – its sides emblazoned with art from Activision and Cabela's "Big Game Hunter" line of videogames – pulled up in front of my house. Before I knew it, there was a giant, anatomically-correct fiberglass ram in my lawn, and my neighbors were coming over to play hunting games within the belly of a trailer decorated like the great outdoors. It was totally weird – it was also completely awesome.

Capcom isn't dealing out any details in regards to "Devil May Cry," but that hasn't stopped the rumor mill from spinning. Recently, an ad started circulating the internet featuring what appeared to be an HD re-release of the first three "Devil May Cry" games. Today, the ESRB – ever vigilant in their secrecy – may have outed the collection through a change to the games' listing on their site.

One of the many lovely aspects of "Batman: Arkham Asylum" was just how much there was to keep you occupied beyond the main story. The Riddler's trophies, hidden character clues and those crazy shadow puzzles made for some interesting brain teasers without requiring actual brawn. We've already learned that "Batman: Arkham City" will offer up even more of those puzzles and extras, but that's not the whole story. When you complete "Arkham City," you'll also unlock a New Game Plus mode, which Rocksteady has now detailed.

A few weeks ago, rumors started swirling that the Nintendo was working on an attachment for the 3DS which would add a second analog stick to the device. It seems those rumors were true, as Japanese gaming magazine, Famitsu, has the first shot of the attachment and it's, well...yeah.

It's now two weeks after I finished "Deus Ex: Human Revolution" for the first time, and the game remains one of the most enjoyable titles of 2011. If you haven't had the chance to delve into Eidos Montreal's massive RPG shooter, you owe it to yourself to do so before the holiday season really gets packed.
As for those who have played through the game, it seems Eidos is not quite done with you. The company has been hinting at new DLC for the title with an ARG and today they made it official. A new DLC pack, "The Missing Link," is scheduled for release in October.

There's little doubt that people see value in digitally-obtained objects. "World of WarCraft" items can sell for hundreds of dollars and people have marathoned dozens of matches of "Team Fortress 2" in the hopes of obtaining a really fancy hat. Valve has added more value to those items in their own games by allowing people to trade within the same game. For example, one "Team Fortress 2" hat for another. The value of that fancy hat is about to go up even higher now that Valve has introduced Steam Trading, which officially launched today.

Lots of games ship with defects. It's unfortunate, but we've all grown perhaps a bit too accustomed – particularly on PC titles – to downloading patches shortly after a game's release. It's one thing to discover a bunch of annoying bugs and glitches in your newly purchased game, but what if the game you downloaded doesn't even seem like the finished version at all? That's precisely what some "Dead Island" players are experiencing right now.
