'Borderlands 2' Trailer Teases Salvador The Gunzerker

About a week ago, Gearbox revealed that "Borderlands 2" would dispose of the first game's four original vault hunters – they're still in the game as non-playable characters – and replace them with four brand-new characters. In addition, we got our first look at one of the personas you can jump into when the game releases next year, Salvador. Sure, seeing pictures is one thing, but if you were looking forward to seeing some dual-wielding, a new teaser trailer has just arrived.

Check out the Salvador video right after the jump.

Well, it's not the longest glimpse at Salvador, but at least it's honest-to-goodness footage of "Borderlands 2." The new Gunzerker class is looking pretty great, and that dual-wield ability is definitely an exciting new feature. I can't count how many times I found myself out in the wastes of Pandora, surrounded on all sides by giant Spiderants, spinning around to crack off shotgun blasts with Roland. Being able to dual-wield could certainly rain down some added destruction.

I'm still confused about what Salvador's special ability is, though. I don't think it's the dual-wielding itself – it would be weird to only activate dual-wield at certain moments – but there's been no clue as of yet in regards to what the Gunzerker ability could be. The name itself sounds a bit like the first game's Berserker class, as played by Brick. That ability had you swinging your fists for maximum damage and brief damage resistance, so maybe the Gunzerker class will have you swinging around both guns with increased damage.
