Hoping to get a jump on the multiplayer component of "Modern Warfare 3"? Curious whether "Call of Duty" griefers are as annoying in real life as they are online? Well you better make with the clicking, as tickets for "Call of Duty XP" are officially on sale as of now.
Scheduled for September 2 and 3 in Los Angeles, "Call of Duty XP" is a convention dedicated to all things "Call of Duty." This year is the convention's premiere and the festivities will include the world's first look at adversarial multiplayer in "Modern Warfare 3." According to the site, multiplayer will not only be shown off for the first time on the main stage, but it will also be playable for attendees over the two days of the show.
In addition to the "Modern Warfare 3" reveal, there will also be a 1 million dollar "Call of Duty: Black Ops" tourney, with 32 four-man teams competing for slots based on their online performance. There's also a life-sized recreation of the "Modern Warfare 2" training sequence, which attendees will be able to run through and earn prizes for the fastest times. If you're feeling a bit more adversarial, you can hop into the life-sized recreation of Scrapyard, with two teams battling it out with paintball guns.
Tickets are sure to sell out, so if you're interested in attending, now's the time. Tickets cost $150 a pop, which includes access to both days of the event, time in the paintball arena and an exclusive goodie bag of "Call of Duty" gear. And no, just because you prestiged 15 times in "Black Ops" doesn't mean you get a discount.
