Just because Activision has started promoting the next installment its uber-popular shooter franchise, "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3," doesn't mean that we've seen the last of new content for "Black Ops." In fact, a leaked Gamestop flyer appears to have spoiled the surprise on the next map pack, which is rumored to be titled "Retaliation." Update: Now officially known as "Annihilation."
As you can see in the shot above, snagged by DigitalWarfare247, the Gamestop flyer appears to detail the five new maps that'll be included in the pack. Keeping with the trend of the last two map packs, there will be four standard multiplayer maps, and one Zombies map.
The four multiplayer maps are:
Hanger 18 (Likely referring to the hanger in Area 51 which supposedly holds evidence from the Roswell UFO incident)
Unfortunately the image is too blurry to make out any information about the Zombie map, but it does almost look like a jungle setting. This would actually make sense, given that the last Zombie map, Call of the Dead, hinted at a jungle setting in the top right corner of its load screen. It's hard to imagine Treyarch topping the effort they put into that last Zombie map, which brought together stars like Sarah Michelle Gellar and Danny Trejo with legendary zombie director, George A. Romero in an epic battle to the death. It's a safe bet that the map will feature an exceedingly long, convoluted mission structure, though. Because that's just how Treyarch has been rolling these days.
While the flyer image has not been confirmed by Activision or Gamestop, it's looking pretty likely. Expect the pack to launch some time this summer, probably around the same time that the "Call of Duty" social site, Elite, heads into public beta. A price point of $15 is expected.
