It may not be the sexiest-looking laptop in the world, but it is one of the cheapest. Behold the Chromebook, Google's official foray into the world of PC operating systems. The Chromebook is basically Google's dream of cloud computing come to life. Everything you do, whether it's using a word processor, or watching movies, or playing games, is done through web-based apps, so the computer itself needs very little memory. This helps to keep the price way down, and keeps the device itself super thin and light.

Fans of the weapon-wielding fighter franchise "Soulcalibur" can start getting excited for a fifth installment. Namco Bandai announced today that "Soulcalibur V" is coming to the PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2012. So, now would be a good time to start practicing excuses for your parent, spouse, or significant other as to why you're spending so much time in front of the television, kicking butt as a scantily-clad dominatrix.

"Demon's Souls" was regarded as one of the more difficult – ok, broken controller inducing – games in recent years. Based on initial impressions, it sounds like "Dark Souls" will have you pulling your hair out even more than the first game. Namco Bandai released a new trailer today, revealing the game's October release date, and showing off a few of its wild enemies. The mere site of giant knights and swinging blade traps has me excited for what will surely amount to my character dying – frequently.
Check out the new trailer right after the jump.

It's been a week since Bethesda revealed their plans to support "Fallout: New Vegas" with three DLC packs, and today we're getting our first moving glimpse at the next pack. "Honest Hearts" is set in Utah's Zion National Park and features The Burned Man, a mysterious character whose dealings with Caesar's Legion left him set on fire and thrown into the Grand Canyon. Now he's back, looking a lot like Darkman.

Rumors have started bubbling about the next "Call of Duty" game, which is (somewhat obviously) looking like "Modern Warfare 3." On Monday, we were hoping for an official announcement of the game during Activision's earnings call, but we only received a few details, acknowledging that "some" type of "Call of Duty" game was coming in 2011. I figured we would have to wait until closer to E3 before seeing anything else, but it looks like we're getting a glance at some (unconfirmed) logos today.

There's no denying that Zynga, the company behind hit social games like "FarmVille" and "CityVille," have staked out a considerable claim in the game market. With over 135 million monthly players logging into those two titles alone, Zynga's games are a veritable marketing gold mine. So, what other kinds of properties can utilize the developer's incredibly massive audience? How about equally popular, mega-celebrities like Lady Gaga?
That's right, fans of Zynga social games and the "Born This Way" diva can look forward to some cross-promotion.

Over the course of the last few years, LEGO have infiltrated some of the most beloved film franchises, from "Star Wars" to "Indiana Jones," and have (for the most part) done an amazing job of recreating both memorable characters and scenes in block form. With only a few days to go before "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" is released to assuredly welcoming audiences, Disney and TT Games have come together to combine Captain Jack Sparrow and his crew with everyone's favorite building blocks with the release of "LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game"

Taking over a game that was well received, but made by a different developer is a daunting task, and is a feeling that Digital Extremes' Project Director Sheldon Carter knows all too well. However, being such big fans of "The Darkness," and the comic it was based on, made it easy for Carter's team to make the transition smoothly for "The Darkness 2." In a recent interview, he broke down just how much, and how little "The Darkness 2" has changed from the original, reassuring fans that they will not be disappointed.

The LEGO games have always had a certain level of charm about them, but there's no question the developers went the easy route by building the games in computers instead of in real life. Imagine the man hours required for a single skull-shaped volcano!
Thankfully some fine folks at MTV News are far more industrious and ambitious, and decided to make their own, live rendition of the first trailer for "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides." We happen to be releasing it on the same day as the launch of "LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean," but that's a total coincidence, we swear.
You can watch the trailer at the top of this post, complete with an introduction from the always awesome Ian McShane (who plays Blackbeard in the movie). After you've done that, check out the side-by-side comparison and see just how close our LEGO imagineers got to the real thing.
Think you could do better? Think you could make the entire X-Men: First Class trailer using just mashed potatoes? I'd like to see you try! No really, please do that. That would rock.

When last we saw Agent 47, he was in the terrible "Hitman" movie. Not exactly the best taste to leave in the mouths of fans for four years. Before that, though, he starred in the rather enjoyable "Hitman: Blood Money," which proved that overly complex assassination missions still had legs. His latest adventure, "Hitman Absolution," was just revealed by Square Enix today, and will be playable for attendees of E3 in June.
