"Portal 2" is out on April 19. That's what we've been led to believe anyway. A story has unfolded over the last week or two around an ARG linked to the game, and some have now been left with the impression that Valve Corporation intends to mess with our minds and release the game today. Or, more likely, the intent is to mess with our minds and then carry out the 4/19 release as planned. In either case, it seems that all will be revealed in a few hours from now.

At long last, a new "Twisted Metal" game -- a high definition "Twisted Metal" game -- is coming on October 4. The series hasn't made a peep in years, and that's far too long to go without any gratuitous vehicular mayhem from the warped mind of David Jaffe. The release date reveal came alongside a new trailer and today brings another one, plus details on a pre-order bonus.

Housemarque impressed the heck out of gamers late last year with "Dead Nation," a unique twin-stick shooter with beautiful urban apocalypse visuals and upgradeable weapons to plow through a horde of zombies with. In just a few weeks you'll get to see what the studio's take on Metroidvania games with "Outland," which has a new trailer today highlighting the co-op side of the gameplay.

A few screens slipped out earlier this week from an accidentally posted trailer for what appears to be the next DLC pack from Bethesda Softworks and Obsidian Entertainment for "Fallout: New Vegas." It is believed that the DLC, titled "Honest Hearts," has something to do with New Canaan, a Utah city conceived for the aborted "Van Buren" project that would have been "Fallout 3." Perhaps in response to the leak, Bethesda senior producer Jason Bergman has stepped up with a post on the company's forums offering some information about the coming DLC and why it's not here yet.

Ubisoft has dominated the market for snowboarding video games in recent years with its popular Shaun White-branded series. The former top dog, the "SSX" series, hasn't had a console release since 2007's "SSX Blur" for Wii and there's been nothing yet for either of the high def consoles. That is all set to change with the release of "SSX: Deadly Descents," which recently dropped the "Deadly Descents" from its title. Today brings some new screens along with the word that we'll have to make do with what's available until the game releases early next year.

Earlier this year, Valve announced in a rather cool twist that all PlayStation 3 purchases of "Portal 2" would include a Steam copy of the game and that some amount of PC cross-functionality was being built in. Today Valve issued a press release which goes into a little more detail on how the cross-platform stuff will work, which is good timing considering that the game is in stores next week.

You probably already know that Capcom is working on a new crossover fighter which features the characters from the "Street Fighter" universe duking it out with characters from Namco's "Tekken" universe. "Street Fighter X Tekken" is not to be confused with "Tekken X Street Fighter," which is being worked on by Namco. While that may seem a bit redundant, Capcom's game will play more like a traditional "Street Fighter" release, while Namco's will play more like a "Tekken" game. Still with me?
While I can't speak to Namco's project, I did get the chance to play a handful of matches in "Street Fighter X Tekken," and was struck by a new feature which will surely throw a kink into the strategies of resident "SF" masters.

Fans continue to wait with bated breath for 343 Industries to fire its first shot in the post-Bungie campaign to keep Microsoft's "Halo" franchise moving. There will presumably (hopefully) be an announcement at this year's E3, but the new franchise lead has been busy preparing some things to tide us all over in the interim. A press release from Microsoft reveals today that it all starts with a new update to "Halo Waypoint" -- the Xbox Live Arcade-based portal to all things "Halo" -- this week on Friday, April 15.

You might remember reading a little news blip earlier this month about a mysterious Australia ratings board submission from "Burnout" developer Criterion Games for a game called "Burnout Crash." No details were revealed, but some additional sleuthing uncovered mention of the title on several Criterion staff members' LinkedIn profiles. Now there's a little more information to fill in the blanks with, which you can read about after the jump.
