1979 the game

You might have missed word of "1979: The Game" earlier this week. The currently-in-development title is the work of multimedia production company Ink Stories and its founder, former-Rockstar Games writer/director Navid Khonsari, who most recently oversaw the cutscenes in "Alan Wake" and who is largely credited with establishing the cinematic feel at play in Rockstar's "Grand Theft Auto" games. "1979: The Game" was revealed in a news report on Russian TV earlier this week and now Khonsari has taken some time to shed a little more light on the mysterious game.

"DuckTales." Who doesn't love that series? It stars Donald Duck's irascible, penny-pinching Uncle Scrooge McDuck, who swims around in his towering vault filled with money. It was also the subject of a '90s TV cartoon series and a pair of excellent NES games. And now it's going to be featured in a new comic book series from BOOM! Studios penned by "Epic Mickey" and "Deus Ex" designer, Warren Spector.

Marvel Vs. Capcom 3

Developer Pop Quiz is a weekly interview series in which we ask developers from around the industry the same 10 questions and post their responses.

Capcom's Seth Killian has his dream job. He's gone from organizing the famed EVO fighting tournaments (which prominently featured Capcom's fighting games, which he is an expert at) to being a Special Combat Advisor for the games that he grew up playing, and running the online community to make Capcom's releases something special, for fans that are pretty much just like him. On top of being an all-around nice guy, he has a unique perspective on his job, and the industry as a whole, because he's a fan whose love of games has gotten him to where he is today.

He's also the first person to be featured in a Developer Pop Quiz that's has a boss character named after them.

Pour one out today for Bizarre Creations. The "Project Gotham Racing" and "Geometry Wars" developer closes its doors today after Activision's January closure recommendation following the publishers unsuccessful attempts to sell the studio. Bizarre put out two solid releases last year -- "Blur" and "James Bond 007: Blood Stone" -- but both titles failed to hit blockbuster numbers, prompting Activision to move ahead with the closure.

diablo 3 demon hunter

At last year's BlizzCon 2010, Blizzard Entertainment finally revealed the last of the playable character classes to be featured in its upcoming action/RPG sequel "Diablo 3": the Demon Hunter. Plenty of details surfaced at the time, but as is always the case with these things, there's still more to learn. Which is why you should be happy that the game's art director Christian Lichtner and senior game designer Jason Bender sat down for a recent Demon Hunter-focused interview.

The Walking Dead

Back in January, we had a pretty strong feeling that Telltale was working on a new game based on "The Walking Dead," the hit comic book series which has taken cable TV by storm.
