Activision and Xbox Live reaffirmed their BFF status yesterday by confirming a 360-exclusive release date for the first downloadable batch of new "Call of Duty: Black Ops" multiplayer maps. Dubbed "First Strike," the DLC will come out for Microsoft's console on February 1, 2011, with subsequent launches for the PlayStation 3 and PC later (presumably a month after, based on the way these things worked for "Modern Warfare 2"). The 1,200-MS point ($15) pack will come with Cold War and zombie venues, and will build outward from the core game, as well as upward.

Blizzard's top secret non-"World of Warcraft" MMO is still a secret, and so is a project called "Titan" that showed up in a purportedly leaked product slate from the company. In fact, they're both so secret that a Blizzard VP was willing to say that we shouldn't know anything about their upcoming "next-gen MMO" called "Titan," which is going to be employing some top-notch industry talent.

After pushing out a massive stack of "Fable 3" fixes, Lionhead Studios has decided that it's time to move on and release some more DLC for the game out into the world. Yesterday we listed the best games of 2010, but today we wanted to shine a light on some titles that came out of nowhere and ended up being way better than anyone could have guessed. Some of them are innovative, some of them are well-polished and some of them are just incredibly fun.
