PopCap Games Sale Slashing Mac And PC Game Prices In Half

Posted 12/29/10 4:35 pm EST by Brian Warmoth in Mac, PC

PopCap Games sale

Did you happen to come across some big, fat $5, $10 or even $20 bills at some point in the last couple of weeks and long to spend them on Mac or Windows PC casual games designed to eradicate your productivity? Well, PopCap Games has cut prices across the board in their webstore on PopCap.com through January 2, and though you won't be able to apply their discount to "Bejeweled 3" or bundles, you will be able to acquire "Plants vs. Zombies" or "Peggle Nights" for $9.95.

"Zuma" and "Zuma's Revenge!" have also fallen under the 50% off axe, and for the dollars-to-entertainment-hours ratio alone here, what PopCap's offering is worth your consideration.

The deal is meant to commemorate their 10th anniversary as a company. Frankly, I don't know what we all did with only one version of "Bejeweled" on the market back then. Cubicle workers and college students probably got a lot more work done, though.

If you're somehow seeing the name PopCap for the first time today, I'm just going to tell you straight up to use $10 and grab "Plants vs. Zombies" off their site right now. In this day and age, the phrase "Game of the Year" gets strapped on to about any game with more than five Facebook fans, but "PvZ" is the real deal. I mean heck, it made our Top 5 Games of 2009 list; I don't know where you could expect to find any better validation than that.

Are going to pick anything up from PopCap's sale in the next few days? Do you think PopCaps games are vastly overrated? Share your opinions with us in the comment section below.
