Digital card hustlers in need of a booster pack for "Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers" got a nice surprise today, as a third batch of DLC came out for the game via Xbox Live. Featuring new cards and campaign levels, the new release will cost you 400 MS points, and it weighs in at a hefty 32.8MB, but it should bring some refreshment to your gameplay.
The unimaginatively titled "Expansion Pack 3" also boasts Sorin Markov's "Master of Shadows" deck, according to its listing in the Xbox Live Marketplace. It will also allow you to grind and tap through eight new campaign levels to unlock Gideon Jura's "Rally of Righteousness" and Niv-Mizzet's "Root of the Firemind" decks. Additionally, it will come with four previously unplayable Two-Headed Giant co-op levels and five other challenge levels, so those MS points will be netting you more than just some pretty new artwork.
Yes, Xbox Live was a little late to this game (or rather, this DLC). The PlayStation Network and PC users already had access to it, but if you do un-tap your natural resources on the 360, you'll not have to wait another day without all of these new perks. You may, however, have to wait on receiving new gamescore, as I'm not seeing any new Achievements currently listed. Perhaps that may change by the time this post goes live, though. Here's hoping.
