If you're the sort of person who prefers to binge on episodic content, rather than ingest it as it's released in small batches, you've likely been holding off on the three post-release "Mass Effect 2" DLC chapters. Your patience and preference to gorge finally pays off today, as all three are on sale on Xbox Live, letting you snag each piece for 200 Microsoft points (or $2.50).
Not including the first piece of downloadable content, which came for free for those who purchased the game new and had access to the Cerberus System, BioWare has gone on to release three DLC chapters for "Mass Effect 2." The first was "Stolen Memory," which introduced the final member of your squad, Kasumi the thief. "Stolen Memory" was followed up with "Overlord," which introduced hover tank gameplay for the first time in "Mass Effect 2."
The final piece of DLC content was "Lair of the Shadow Broker," and it dealt with elements hinted at in the main game regarding Liara T'Soni chasing after the nasty head of an underground syndicate.
After playing through the game twice, finishing the second time on Insanity, I took a long break from "Mass Effect 2" and haven't had the time to partake in any of the above DLC, so I'll definitely be taking advantage of the fire sale.
Have you been using the holidays to play catch-up on DLC ("Dead Money," "Claptrap's New Robot Revolution" and "Undead Nightmare" spring to mind) or are there full games that you're still working through? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter!
