'Fable 3' DLC Lets The Dogs Out

Posted 12/16/10 6:34 pm EST by Brian Warmoth in News, Xbox 360

Fable 3 dogs DLC

After pushing out a massive stack of "Fable 3" fixes, Lionhead Studios has decided that it's time to move on and release some more DLC for the game out into the world. November saw the arrival of some new quests, but this new round will take a cue from "World of Warcraft" and give you a new selection of animal companians to choose from for 240 MS points.

The "Fable 3" Dog Breed Pack will let you swap in a Doberman pinscher, German Shepard or a poodle, as seen over on the Lionhead blog. Then, just because they're feeling generous and the holidays are in full swing, they've thrown in a Santa Clause hat for your character as well.

The content should be available now on Xbox Live, and dog lovers will undoubtedly enjoy playing with some new friends. I'm not sure what type of character decisions you have to make in "Fable 3" to get to the point where you start taking time away from your quests to ensure that your poodle has a perfect French cut, but you can just imagine the rest of the details into your story as you unleash this little guy on Albion.

Elf ears would have been fun to see included in here as well, but I guess if they tried piling too many other costume modifications into the "Fable 3" DLC market they'd run the risk of competing with Xbox Live avatar accessories.

Do you want a new breed of dog to accompany you in "Fable 3"? What other kinds of DLC would you like to see Lionhead make for the game? Share your reactions with us in the comment section below.
