Humble Indie Bundle 2 Smiles Down On PC, Mac And Linux Users

Posted 12/14/10 5:52 pm EST by Brian Warmoth in Mac, News, PC

Humble Indie Bundle 2

The holiday season is supposed to be a time for giving and doing nice things for others, and that's exactly what Wolfire Games set out to accomplish the first time they assembled a Humble Indie Bundle. The game roster consists of "Braid," "Cortex Command," "Machinarium," "Osmos" and "Revenge of the Titans" this time around, and the same decide-what-you-pay system of sliding bars will determine both how much money you pay and how much goes to the developers, the Electronic Frontier Foundation and Child's Play.

No matter what you choose to pay, whether you're a stingy, 50-cent-paying Scrooge or a generous Ben Franklin-tossing philanthropist, your dollars will be going to some great causes. Windows users are currently in the lead right now, with Mac and Linux also making a good showing on the front page of HumbleBundle.com as well.

The last bundle hit 140,000 downloads, and the current offering is off to a fast start at around 30,000, but it won't eclipse its predecessor without a lot of help. There's a good chance some of these games have never been available to you if you're a Linux user, too, so think that over and express your appreciation accordingly before donating.

These titles are all fine examples off what independently-minded creators are capable of, and the EFF and Child's Play could definitely use your support.

Which games in the new Humble Indie Bundle do you want to get onto your hard drive?Do you like the system that Wolfire Games has got set up? Share your thoughts with us in the comment section below.
